        Good morning!

I didn’t know that your diet allowed for bread.

(I almost never have bread, personally. BH, I don’t particularly enjoy challah. It’s very helpful to me. I DO have my two slices of cake on Shabbos. I eat them very slowly and savor every single mouthful.)

A student nurse accused of taking a homemade bomb to the Leeds hospital he worked at has appeared in court.

Mohammad Farooq was said to have the device outside the maternity ward of St James’s Hospital on 20 January.

Mr Farooq, 27, who was also said to have undertaken reconnaissance outside an RAF base, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court accused of
    preparing a terrorist act.

He did not enter a plea and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 3 February.

Prosecutors allege Mr Farooq, of Hetton Road, Roundhay, Leeds, was found with a pressure cooker bomb outside the ward.

They also argue that, inspired by radical Islam, he carried out “hostile reconnaissance” of an RAF base in Yorkshire in January. ”

      Good gracious!

      That’s very frightening.
Tragically, this is a direct result of what happens when immigration isn’t monitored properly.

The USSA has a red carpet for practically any illegal alien who wants to come here.

Physician Who Doesn’t Believe in Dieting Joins Biden Admin.

A physician who came under fire for comments claiming that obesity is more genetic than lifestyle is now a member of the Biden USDA’s 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee — which will, ironically, change dieting for Americans over the coming years.

“The number one cause of obesity is genetics,” she said.

“That means that, if you were born to parents that have obesity, you have a 50 to 85% likelihood of having the disease yourself even with optimal diet, exercise, sleep management, stress management,” she added.

Dvar Torah: Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis

Were we liberated from one form of servitude, only to enter another? In Parshat Bo, the Torah describes how Hashem commanded Moshe to appear before Pharaoh, King of
Egypt. There he demanded in Hashem’s name (Shemot (Exodus) 9:1):

“Shalach et ami veya’avduni!” – “Let my
people go so that they shall serve me!”

Thanks to the miraculous intervention of Hashem we were redeemed from servitude in Egypt and, seven weeks later at Mount Sinai, we embraced a life full of Torah and mitzvot – an existence filled with servitude to Hashem.

Some people might wonder: what kind of freedom is this? Are we so free if there is a long list of do’s and don’ts that we must comply with at all times?

The Talmud (Ethics of the Fathers 6:2) puts it as follows:
“Ein lecha ben chorin eileh mi sheosek baTalmud Torah.” – “There is actually no-one who is as free as the person who studies Torah.”
How can we understand this? One of my favorite quotations, which is anonymous, goes as follows: “The slave to the compass has freedom of the seas. The rest must sail close to the shore.”

The Torah is our compass. The Torah provides us with an opportunity to lead lives of meaning and joy. There is so much room for individuality and spontaneity within the context of the 613 do’s and don’ts of the Torah. Every responsible educator and parent knows how crucially important it is to raise our children to reach their own personal potential; to be able to achieve what they can as unique personalities within the context of a loving and
healthy discipline. Without such discipline, without any inspirational compass, it is
possible for a person to abuse their freedom and for their lives to be filled with mayhem.

We have so much to be grateful for. Thanks to
the freedom that we attained when we left Egypt we were able at Sinai to receive the Torah and thanks to the Torah, we can utilise our freedom responsibly because the Torah is our eternally true and inspirational guide and compass.

    A Night of Transformation

The celebration of Pesach, and particularly the Seder night as described in Parshas Bo, is marked by stark contrasts. In the days of the Beis Hamikdash (Temple), the night of Pesach centered around the eating of the korban Pesach (Passover offering). There are two seemingly contradictory themes that emerge from how the korban Pesach is eaten.

Its meat must be roasted rather than cooked since roasted meat was a sign of wealth and royalty. Similarly, the meat must not be left over as such a practice would resemble one who can’t afford fresh meat the following day.

Bones of the korban Pesach may not be broken since this is something one who lacks enough meat would usually do. The Sefer Hachinuch (in mitzvos 7,8, and 16) elaborates upon how observing these intricacies of halacha (Jewish law) creates the mindset of our state of royalty as the nation of Hashem.
Even as we celebrate our exalted status on Pesach night, we perform mitzvos that invoke a very different image of ourselves.

Accompanying the korban Pesach we partake
of matza and marror (bitter herbs). Matza is referred to as lechem oni – a poor man’s bread. We highlight an existence of poverty and suffering even as we celebrate our newfound freedom. This aspect of matza is so essential that we introduce the matza at the seder by declaring “Ha lachma anya”- this is a poor man’s bread.

Completing the mitzvos of eating on Pesach night is the obligation to partake of marror, which is the ultimate reminder of the bitterness of our lives as slaves prior to being redeemed on this very night.

Freedom and slavery, wealth and poverty, not only permeate the mitzvos of Pesach, Matza, and Marror but the mitzva of sippur yetzias Mitzrayim (telling the story of the Exodus) revolves around these very themes as well. We are taught by Chazal (an acronym for our Sages of blessed memory), that the Torah commandment of telling the story of yetzias
Mitzrayim at the seder must include beginning with how lowly we were, both physically and spiritually, as slaves, and culminating in the glory bestowed upon us. The actual mitzvos as well as our entire discussion on this night encompass this theme of transformation.

Such a change in our existence, from those who survived on mere matza and tasted the bitterness of slavery to becoming a royal nation, should mentally take a great deal of time; perhaps generations would have to pass before a glorious nation could emerge. Yet, Hashem performed this transformation in literally the blink of an eye.
The symbolism of a downtrodden suffering people
all of a sudden celebrating as the beloved royal nation of Hashem has great meaning for us both personally and nationally.

Situations that appear bleak and hopeless can turn around in a moment. Personal suffering and pain can be transformed instantaneously to joy. Over the course of generations Jews have often sat down to
the Seder in the most difficult circumstances. What gave our people the strength to celebrate the first Pesach after the Beis Hamikdash was destroyed? From where did Jews get the inspiration to perform a Seder knowing that the dangers of a blood libel could be upon them at any moment? How were Jews able to find the faith to commemorate the night of redemption from Mitzrayim even as they were suffering during the horrors of the Holocaust?
It was the Seder night that kept alive the dream of nobility of the Jewish people. Just as matza and marror gave way to korban Pesach over three thousand years ago, so too Klal Yisrael (Congregation of Israel)
will emerge from galus (exile) and once again return to the Beis Hamikdash to partake of the korban Pesach and celebrate its glorious destiny.

As we read Parshas Bo, although still several months away from Pesach, let us focus on the dream of geula (redemption) that we eagerly wait for at any moment.

    Parshas Bo

Adapted by Rabbi Jonathan Sacks ZTL; From the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe ZTL.

Two unusual features distinguish the tenth plague—the smiting of the Egyptian firstborn—from the other nine that G-d brought against the Egyptians. Firstly, Moses announced the specific time that it would take place (“about midnight”), and secondly, the Israelites themselves were commanded to take precautions against the plague afflicting them—they were to stay indoors, and set a sign, in blood, on their doorposts. The Rebbe explains why these features were attached only to this plague, and how they indicate to us the path that we must follow to bring about the redemption of the future—the Messianic Age.

    1. The Time and the Precautions

When Moses announced to Pharaoh the coming of the final plague, the smiting of the firstborn, he mentioned the time that it would occur. G-d had said that it would take place at midnight. Moses said that it would be at “about midnight,”1 fearing that Pharaoh’s astrologers might make a mistake in their calculations of the precise fixing of midnight and might accuse him of inaccuracy.2 Nonetheless, this raises a difficulty. Why was the timing of the plague mentioned at all? The mere warning of its imminence would surely have been sufficient, as it was in the case of the other nine plagues. We are forced to conclude that there is a special and significant connection between the plague of smiting the firstborn and the time of midnight, so that in mentioning one, Moses had to mention the other.

In two further ways, the tenth plague was unique.

Firstly, the Jews had to make a special sign “on the two doorposts and the lintel”3 of their houses, a sign in the blood of circumcision and of the Paschal lamb,4 so that the plague would not be visited on them.

Secondly, they had to remain indoors throughout the night: “And none of you shall go out from the entrance of his house until the morning,” because “once the force of destruction is given permission (to unleash itself) it makes no distinction between the righteous and the wicked.”5

But why should these provisions have been necessary? The previous plagues had been directed solely against the Egyptians, without the Israelites needing to take any special precautions to preserve their immunity. Why was the tenth plague different in this respect? And why were two precautions (the sign of the blood, and the confinement to their houses) needed?

    2. The Uniqueness of the Final Plague

We can approach an answer by first understanding that the other nine plagues were not of the kind whereby “the force of destruction is given permission (to unleash itself).” They were limited to a specific manner and extent of damage. The hail, for example, destroyed “the flax and the barley… but the wheat and the spelt were not smitten because they were not grown up.”6 But the smiting of the firstborn was not limited to any specific manner of destruction; the force which “makes no distinction between the righteous and the wicked” was set loose—and therefore the Israelites had to guard themselves against it.

At a deeper level, the smiting of the firstborn was unique in its purpose, not only in its manner. The other plagues were not primarily to destroy, but to create in the Egyptians an awareness of G-d: “In this you shall know that I am the L-rd.”7 And this was not a lesson that needed to be enforced amongst the Israelites, who already acknowledged G-d.8 It also meant that in the first nine plagues, those who were afflicted were not killed, so that they could benefit from this revelation of G-d’s power. But in the tenth plague, since the firstborn were killed, the aim could not have been (as regards the victims) to educate them. It was to punish and destroy them. And in this case the voice of strict justice could claim: What is the difference between the Israelites in their idolatry9 and degeneracy, and the Egyptian firstborn? Surely both deserve punishment? Hence the Israelites’ need to safeguard themselves against the force of destruction—the instrument of strict justice.

These safeguards were of two orders. In Egypt generally, the force of destruction was “given permission” to loose itself. Since it is indiscriminate and has no limitations, no “sign” is a protection against it. Therefore the Israelites had to withdraw to their houses. Within them (since they were “passed over” by G-d) the plague was subject to a limitation—and so there was room (and necessity) for a “sign” which would single out Jew from Egyptian.

    3. Midnight and Essence

But what is still difficult to understand is this: The voice of strict justice raised the question, “What is the difference” between a G-dless Egypt and a sinful Jewish people? How could a “sign” have answered the claim?

The answer is that the tenth plague was executed by “G-d Himself in His glory and His essence,” G-d as He transcends characterization, in particular, as He is beyond the attribute of strict justice. At this level, the accusations brought in the name of severity and justice are silent, inoperative.

This is the connection between the tenth plague and midnight. For midnight is the moment when this all-transcending face of G-d is revealed. Midnight binds the two halves of the night, the first half which leads from light into darkness and is therefore a symbol of severity and holding-back (gevurah), and the second which leads from darkness into light, and stands for kindness and giving-forth (chesed). And so, momentarily harmonizing these two opposing tendencies and thereby transcending them, midnight is the time at which G-d in His Essence is revealed.10

Thus at the time of the tenth plague, G-d displayed his essential love for Israel, a love which in its infinity finds no place for the accusations of the voice of justice. When the voice claims, “Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” (Are they not equal?) G-d answers, “Yet I loved Jacob and I hated Esau.”11 For His love for the Jewish people is as deep and invulnerable as the love of a father for his children: “You are the children of the L-rd your G-d.”12

This is why Moses told Pharaoh the time of the plague (“about midnight”). In this, he was hinting that it would be brought about by G-d in His transcendence. For otherwise Pharaoh and his court would have been convinced that a plague whose purpose was to destroy and not to educate, would afflict the Israelites as well, since they too were guilty of sins. Only a revelation of G-d’s unconditional love (i.e., at midnight) would have saved them.

    4. Sign and Love

Why, though, did the Israelites still need a sign?

The answer is that to draw down into the physical world a revelation of G-d, man must perform acts of service, the acts which are specified in the Torah. Even G-d’s unconditional love, which is always present and constant, requires an active response by the Jew if he is to internalize it and bring it into openness of revelation. But in this case, since the love is unconditional, the response, too, must be unconditional—going beyond the limits of rationality.

Both of the signs—the blood of circumcision and of the Paschal lamb—were of this character. The covenant of circumcision is performed on a Jewish child who is only eight days old, at an age when his faculty of reason is as yet undeveloped. It is a union between the Jew and G-d which goes beyond the rational. And the sacrifice of the Paschal lamb was at that time so fraught with danger as to constitute an act of self-sacrifice (mesirat nefesh). The lamb was an Egyptian deity. And not only were the Israelites to kill it, but they also had to keep it for four days beforehand with the full knowledge of the Egyptians. Self-sacrifice is never rational. And so the Paschal lamb was itself a sign of a Jewish response to G-d that surpassed reason.

Therefore these two signs were answered by G-d with an act of supra-rational love—the love of midnight, of G-d’s Essence, of the delivery from the tenth plague.

    5. Faith and Reason

Now we can resolve an apparent contradiction in the statements of the Rabbis as to the virtue in whose merit the Israelites were redeemed from Egypt. In one place, we find that it was their faith:13 “And the people believed, and when they heard that the L-rd had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked upon their affliction, they bowed their heads and worshipped.”14 In other places,15 it is stated that it was a reward for their signs of blood: “In your blood: Live.”16

But the two opinions are one. The signs were of a bond between Jew and G-d surpassing reason. And their faith was one which went beyond reason. Before the redemption, “no slave had been able to escape from Egypt because the land was closely shut in (on all sides).”17 How much less reasonable was it to believe that 600,000 could escape, a people broken by the rigors of oppression, and threatened with extinction through Pharaoh’s decree that every male child be drowned. The pure faith with which the Israelites believed in Moses’ mission and G-d’s promised deliverance went far beyond the rational. And this faith aroused the unconditional love in G-d for His people, which constituted their inseparable bond. The signs by which it was then expressed, brought the revelation of G-d’s love down to this world.

    6. The Future Redemption

“Like the days of your exodus from the land of Egypt, I will demonstrate wonders.”18 This means the future redemption will parallel the redemption of the past.

The deliverance from Egypt was a reward for the supra-rational faith which was so internalized by the Israelites that it affected even their most extraneous powers (signified by the blood of circumcision) and even the non-human environment (the Paschal lamb).

So, too, will the future redemption be a reward for faith—the faith which disregards the great concealments of G-d that our exile brings, and which still holds firm to the belief in the Messiah; a faith which does not hover at the outer edges of our minds, but which constitutes our most inward certainty and extends to every facet of our being.

I read about this in high school. Many nations were complicit and actually ready and willing. It’s amazing that only Germany was seemingly taken to task for the Holocaust. Granted, Hitler and his henchmen were the architects of anti-Semitic genocide, but had there been resistance in France, Croatia and the other nations, the Holocaust may not have been quite as successful.

I learned about this many years ago.

My high school teacher was very thorough.
Indeed, Norway, Romania, and many other countries were complicit.

Germany, perfected the efficiency of murdering a tremendous amount of Jews in a relatively short period of time.

There are many places where the ground still has a reddish color from the Jewish blood that was spilled.

*Neve Yaakov Kedoshim (holy ones, in this context it specifically refers to those murdered for the nefarious crime of being Jewish): 14-Year-Old, Married Couple, Father Of 3 -*

Two of the victims of the terror attack in Neve Yaakov on Friday night were a married couple, Eli, 48, h’yd (acronym for Hashem will avenge their blood), and Natali Mizrachi, h’yd, 45, who left their family Shabbos seudah (feast) in order to help the wounded victims and were shot to death.

A fourth victim was Asher Natan, 14, h’yd. Nata, the oldest of eight siblings left his home shortly before the shooting began. When his father heard the shots, he ran out of the house to search for his son and found him among the murdered victims.

The giant foundations for the ocean placed wind farms are killing lots of whales.

      1. george linker

I have heard that it is the subsonic sound that wind turbines create that is causing whale deaths.

        1. Sapper 9

That is another acceptable theory that is floating around, I think that it is probably a combination of many problems caused by the creation and running of these farms.

Many of the “environmentalists ” are in such a rush that they are bypassing the proper ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENTS, which are part of the tons of EPA REGULATIONS

The EPA is allowing their own regulations to be sidestepped with little to no enforcement.

An extreme contrast with trying to do an oil and gas project, or building a refinery, where the red tape takes decades and projects are stopped over an endangered snail, cockroach, weed, etc……

          1. george linker

I doubt that sciecne has the knowledge or the ability to do a real environmental impact statement. It must fit within their known knowledge or they cannot make any determinations. Basically the un goal exceeds the environmental risks, just ask them. Science has a bad habit of making things that later becomes the next problem. It was science who invented the internal combustion engine and developed the oil fields. It was sciecnce who invented all the chemicals they now claim cause cancer.

I am fairly sure that no scientists considered possible environmental problems . They don’t think that way. There was also no way to study the effects of fish before hand.

      Good morning WT!

This topic came up a week and a half ago when I was studying Parshas Vaeirah in the book Toras Avigdor.
Rabbi Avigdor Miller ZTL gave an enormous amount of lectures over the course of his lifetime which were taped.

Because his teachings were so invaluable, they were transcribed.

Toras Avigdor is not only a set of books on the Torah, but a pamphlet is sponsored and available for the taking in many Orthodox Jewish communities. They’re also taken from his transcriptions.
I always make sure to pick up the weekly edition.

(I purchased the Toras Avigdor set of books in the Spring. I’m still going through it.)

Even prior to reading it, I had learned that there is a tremendous difference between wisdom and intelligence.
He just took me for an even deeper dive into the bottomless and glorious ocean that is Torah.

I am tremendously looking forward to hearing what Rabbi Lapin has to say about this topic.

TYMK for tagging me to this.

As always, I will let you know my thoughts, Be’Ezras Hashem!

I am in no way, Heaven forbid minimizing the teachings of any other great sage. Toras Avigdor began when a meeting was held by a group of very enthusiastic men who emphatically, vehemently, and very enthusiastically felt that Rabbi Avigdor Miller ZTL’S teachings changed their lives.
They brainstormed on how to share them with the world.
      That was the result…

      1. Weary Traveler

In a funny way, Rabbi Lapin here sort of amplified George Carlin’s point how education isn’t always the answer.

        1. Proud Conservative Mom

          Indeed he did.
          That was another excellent show.

I have one huge bone to pick, that I cannot begin to comprehend. I’ll address it at the end of my posting.

Absolutely, having a high I.Q. is (or used to be, very critical in academia. I say that because “Dr.” Jill Biden is an example of what nonsense it is to a degree nowadays.)

It is most definitely genetic. That’s factual.

I know of many who went to trade schools and were very successful.
For quite some time already, having a college degree doesn’t guarantee success.

Absolutely, males are superior in portions of the Bell Curve.
LOL, my almost 26 year old son, father, and one of my brothers-in-law, are phenomenal chess players.
          They’re all brilliant.

Pilot Chesley Sullenberger, had a high I.Q. AND wisdom.
Without having both, I opine the story wouldn’t have had a happy ending.

Blacks overall, are not a smart group of people. There are absolutely exceptions.
Justice Clarence Thomas is but one example.

When my father taught remedial chemistry in college, ALL of his students were black.
My father is exceedingly brilliant and has the ability to impart his wisdom to others.
(He tutored me in algebra. I know from experience.)

Affirmative action being forced down our throats, created a royal mess.
I opine that this is when academia commenced to get really stupid.

One needs wisdom to keep the five “F’s” in balance (faith, finances, family, friendship, and fitness). I.Q. alone is NOT even remotely sufficient.

YES! Knowing how to nurture a marriage is about wisdom!
          That’s a fabulous example.

Wokeism is trying to downplay the importance of wisdom.
Progressivism a/k/a Wokeism became the new “religion.”

Wisdom cannot be measured by anything physical.
          💯💯💯💯💯💯

Indeed, wisdom takes everything into account. In fact in Pikei Avos (Tractate Avos) it says “Who is wise? Who who sees what will transpire.” In other words, one who contemplates what will be the end result of his actions, as much as humanly possible.
It’s also about knowing when quick and decisive action is needed.
That’s an example of leadership skills.

TANACH is filled with anecdotes that illustrate this.
Right off of my cuff, is how Pinchos (Phineas) killed Zimri (the head of the tribe of Shimon) and Kuzbi (a daughter of King Balak who was the king of Moav), when they were having sinful relations. He literally speared them both simultaneously.

He was greatly and eternally rewarded by Hashem for that action.

I’m very perturbed and horrified that he quoted a King James Bible to interpret the verse in Genesis.
Putting aside that it is the most INACCURATE translation of TANACH, WHY for the love of Heaven would he do that?!

There is NO Orthodox Jewish Rabbi that I know who would ever dream of doing such a thing.
He would simply translate the verse.
Orthodox Jewish Rabbis are absolutely 💯 percent fluent in Biblical Hebrew.
He also could have recommended an accurately translated book by Orthodox Jews.

I’m seriously shaking my head about this.
This is “Strike Two”, if he really steps into any Church.

I honestly don’t know what to say.
I would love an explanation from him.

You know that I am always extremely honest.
          These things matter.

          I’m completely befuddled and bamboozled.

He was absolutely spot on regarding everything else.

That being said, these details really matter.
          Sigh. 😑🧐

          1. Weary Traveler

I notice a lot of Christians comment on his videos. If I had to guess, and that’s all it is, is a “know your audience” thing, but I agree about not quoting KJV. It doesn’t do them or yourself any favors to do so. I would actually go as far as avoiding the Gospels altogether, but that’s me.

I actually get upset when politicians use “conversational language”, which has them misusing words when talking to large audiences. It does no one any favors. Do you remember when I hammer Mike Pence during the VP debate when he said “Americans are sacrificial”? I latched on that one like a lamprey.

Yes, we have spoken a lot about Wokeism being a religion. I think many of noticed the similarities, hence a big reason Christianity has shrank since the COVID lockdowns.

And yes, sadly having a college degree guarantees success a lot less than it did before the schools decided to start shoving everyone in to colleges regardless.

I actually have a Marty story about that I will have to share, but I am actually waiting on him right now as we are set to got to Panera for a bit.

Our whole education system is a huge mess from Kindergarten all the way up to post graduate. And the ones benefiting are politicians and the ones working for the institutions.

          2. Proud Conservative Mom

            AGREED.
It does NO ONE any favors.

Absolutely, he should not talk about the Gospels.
            Good grief! 😡😡😡
The handful of shows that you sent me didn’t have him doing that, hence my query.

Has he ever quoted Christian doctrine?
Using a Christian source for a “translation” is bad enough.

When Orthodox Jewish Rabbis such as the ones who do anti-missionary work quote it, it’s to disprove it and to explain why.

“Do you remember when I hammer Mike Pence during the VP debate when he said “Americans are sacrificial”? I latched on that one like a lamprey.”

            You betcha!

“I actually have a Marty story about that I will have to share, but I am actually waiting on him right now as we are set to got to Panera for a bit.”

Please send him my best. I cannot wait to hear it! LOL!

“Our whole education system is a huge mess from Kindergarten all the way up to post graduate. And the ones benefiting are politicians and the ones working for the institutions.”

            BINGO.

          3. Weary Traveler

Okay… That Marty story. This one isn’t one of his usual HA HA ones, but a good illustration of corruption in public/government schools.

Unlike me, he was very academically inclined. In other words, and only in this respect, he was an Asian parent’s dream kid. If he got anything less than an A, it was because he was struggling with the topic. So I had told him how I was encouraged to do vocational classes at a local vocational school that would count as 3 electives.

His school district in Long Island offered the same thing, and he came across one of the pamphlets and was very interested in checking it out. So he brought it up to his guidance counselor who, unlike mine, did everything to dissuade him from taking the vocational courses, because Marty was in the College prep courses. Marty even demonstrated how his GPA was more than high enough, that the vocational classes would not hurt his chances of getting in to a good college, and how he thought it would be good for him to also have a skill in a trade, and still the counselor wouldn’t go for it.

The counselor admitted to Marty that it costs the school district $18,000 to send a student there, since the district ends up paying for it. As it is, the school gets twice that for every student. The only reason the schools will agree to lose that amount for some students, like myself vs. other students like Marty, it is the only way they were able to put us through and we could still graduate. So it is all about the numbers to make the district look good.

Which is interesting, because that is very similar to what the “Hard Harry” character was talking about when discussing the corruption in the school in the movie, Pump Up The Volume. Only it was worse than even that, because they were expelling students who were struggling, just to keep their scores up so that they could continue to boast high achievement.

Seems anyway you cut it, they really do not care at all about the kids. It reminds me of a statement the head of a teacher’s union made years ago, where he stated something to the effect of; “when school kids start paying union dues, I’ll start caring about school kids.”

And, the episode of American Thought Leaders we were watching tonight, talking about how schools in RED STATES have gone around the ban on Critical Race Theory, just by changing wording and definitions.

It’s time to put an end to government schools at all levels. The system is way too corrupt.

          4. Proud Conservative Mom

“Seems anyway you cut it, they really do not care at all about the kids. It reminds me of a statement the head of a teacher’s union made years ago, where he stated something to the effect of; “when school kids start paying union dues, I’ll start caring about school kids.””

            BINGO.

What a crazy story regarding Marty. It’s all about the numbers. Absolutely.
            These people are totally evil.

          5. Weary Traveler

I almost forgot, because I let myself get way too sidetracked with the Marty story, and ranting about how corrupt our education system is.

And that is the point about the Gospels. I may be one of few who is not Jewish that can have any level of understanding for your position, and why. For instance, I have a problem with the term “Judaeo-Christian” because the two could not be more diametrically opposed. But this yet another example of conventional conversational language.

The only validity I can see behind the term is that Christianity is so reliant on Judaism as their bible consists of both Tanach, and the gospels, what they refer to as the “old” and “new testaments.” Although I would argue the “Old Testament of their bible is highly editorialized. So on the other hand, I see how the term could actually be an indictment of Christianity.

Although I have learned in both a business sense, as well as many years working in broadcasting, about knowing your audience, and speaking their language. But I was never able to take that to the extent others would. Some so much further than others that they were disingenuous.

I can share many stories of talk show hosts and DJs who followed certain pop culture trends they didn’t even really care for themselves, because they wanted to be more relatable. They weren’t bad people themselves, but I had more than my own fair share of debates with them. Probably why I was never put on the air outside of doing news reads and traffic and weather reports. I wasn’t a good “team player”, and therefore bad for business.

The only other side of it, for me anyway… And I ask myself this a lot lately, given my own sour attitude about so many things in life of late, and not all without just cause, mind you. I worry for myself that if I am not careful, I will start acting like the left, and cancelling people for minor infractions.

It’s not just Fauci, for instance, that I want to see put in front of a firing squad. Even the the idiots I saw today that are still wearing masks in public. Even though they don’t say anything to me, and they’re in the minority now, I still see red and give them the stink eye, and want to deal them the same fate as I do someone like Fauci.

Like, if there were no consequences for my actions, it would be like I was in one of those Grand Theft Auto video games, where I would just beat the person down to a bloody pulp, and then rob them = charging them a reparation/stupid tax. LOL

          6. Proud Conservative Mom

“And that is the point about the Gospels. I may be one of few who is not Jewish that can have any level of understanding for your position, and why. ”

            Indeed you ARE!

“For instance, I have a problem with the term “Judaeo-Christian” because the two could not be more diametrically opposed. But this yet another example of conventional conversational language.”

CORRECT. The two religions are diametrically opposed.

I have always loathed the term Judeaeo-Christian. It’s moronic and makes as much sense as “The Walrus and The Carpenter.”

Honestly, the Christian Bible really monkeys around with the “quoting” of TANACH.
In fact, it turned TANACH into a theological crime scene of epic proportions in order to serve their narrative.

Verses were purposefully translated or completely made up.
They also quoted only parts of certain verses in order to conceal the meaning of the verse.

            Of of the cuff:
Hosea 14:1-2 (KJV) ” O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God;thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. (a)
            a) 14.2 receive…: or, give good

The real translation: “Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled in your iniquity. Take words with yourselves and return to the Lord. Say, “You shall forgive all iniquity and teach us [the] good [way], and let us render [for] bulls [the offering of] our lips.”

What do bulls symbolize? Offerings that were brought in the Temple that we couldn’t bring once it was destroyed.
PRAYER took the place of offerings in our exile.

Do you see how the Christian Bible purposefully convoluted and destroyed that message?

            That’s their Modus Operandi.

“I wasn’t a good “team player”, and therefore bad for business.”

            You had and have integrity.

          7. Weary Traveler

This is reminding me of a theory I have that I want to run by you that I have been working on, but I am not sure if I can share it here.

We’ll have to shoot for a phone call when we are both free.

The cost to fuel electric vehicles in the United States is higher than gas-powered cars for the first time in 18 months, a consulting company said.

“In Q4 2022, typical mid-priced ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) car drivers paid about $11.29 to fuel their vehicles for 100 miles of driving. That cost was around $0.31 cheaper than the amount paid by mid-priced EV drivers charging mostly at home, and over $3 less than the cost borne by comparable EV drivers charging commercially,” Anderson Economic Group (AEG) said in an analysis.

    1. Sapper 9

Due to the dirty manufacturing processes and the fact that the electricity comes from a carbon based source, an EV must stay on the road for ten years without a battery change to see a carbon offset.

The batteries for these vehicles are reported to last beyond that; however, I believe those numbers to be fraudulent , I would guess they are good for 5 years on the average.

The fact that they are so expensive to purchase, maintain and to charge , they are a poor choice at this time.

The goal is to snatch as many opportunities as one can, to perform Mitzvos.

Of course, one has to make a living.

One would be surprised if they knew how many Mitzvos one can amass even on the job.

The Yetzer Horah obviously, does not want a person to amass Mitzvos.

Nobody ever writes a computer program from the beginning. It is a total mess and has bugs all over the place. So you start by breaking the program apart and whenever you come to a branching issue you create a skeleton to say – I need to solve this part but will do it later. You keep doing this until you get to a trivial solution and you solve that, then work backward to the previous branch and do the same.

Never solve a hard problem, just rip the problem apart until the solution is trivial

          6. Proud Conservative Mom

Not that this surprised me, but I would bet that you have a very high I.Q. in addition to wisdom.
@dr_darko:disqus posted a phenomenal audio about it hereinbelow. Talk about timing!

            TYMK for the explanation.
I found it to be very fascinating.

Some people perform exceedingly well under alot of pressure.
My father is a prime example of such a person.

(His I.Q. is 185. He also has tremendous wisdom in the physical and spiritual realms.)

          7. Chief Mac

I ask a lot of questions, especially of myself. Don’t think that I am wise or smart. Have met wiser and more intelligent people and well as person that I consider foolish and stupid

          8. Proud Conservative Mom

Having self doubt doesn’t negate wisdom or I.Q.
I opine that that is a component of being a person.

            King Solomon set the bar.

We will always meet people that are wiser and less so than ourselves.

Only you will know the answer to my query, are any of your questions spiritual?
I don’t expect you to feel comfortable replying to that on a public forum.

I only bring this up as I know of alot of secular Jews who are really struggling.

            Please don’t shoot the messenger.
I’m just relaying to you what has been transpiring for quite some time already.

New – Israel’s government to discuss denying ID to families of terrorists

‘We are not looking for escalation but we are prepared for any possibility. Our answer to terrorism is a heavy hand and a powerful, quick and accurate response’

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during Sunday’s cabinet meeting that the government would discuss denying identity cards and residency to families of terrorists.

“Yesterday, the cabinet approved a series of measures to fight terrorism,” Netanyahu continued. “This morning, we sealed off the house of the terrorist who carried out the attack in Jerusalem, and later his house will be destroyed.” He also noted that the government decided to deny national social security to families who “support terrorism.”

“Today, the government will discuss two additional measures: denying identity cards and residency to families of terrorists who support terrorism. At the same time, we are expanding and speeding up weapons licensing to thousands of Israeli citizens. This also includes the rescue services.”

Antibiotic Resistance Due to Anti-Depressant Overuse

Bacteria evolves as more antidepressants are readily available.

Researcher Jianhua Gao has studied removing contaminants from wastewater and the environmental dimensions of antimicrobial resistance.

One of those dimensions is the overuse of antibiotics, which promotes resistance to these drugs. Antibiotic resistance is an enormous threat to human health. But antidepressants also caused a problem, too.

According to the left it is racist if: a black is killed by white cops , a black is killed by black cops; using their illogical narrative it is also racist if a white is killed by white cops, so all police killings must be racist, OR it is okay for whites to be killed. Recently there was a video of a man being shot multiple times by the police in his Mobile home, the video was very clear since it was taken from the victims home security system camera that was right by the victim. He was white, so we hear little of it; I would post the video, but it is very graphic.

Every black killing is racist, even if blacks kill blacks.

        Leftism has no logic.
        It is evil and depraved.

A white is guilty unless proven to be innocent. Even then, he has to make a Herculean effort to prove his case where the evidence is overwhelmingly on his side.

Most blacks are killed by blacks and most whites are killed by blacks, but, but, but, white supremacy and whites are “hunting black people”.

During an encounter with the police, a WHITE has a higher risk of being killed by the police, facts and statistics do not support their narrative.

    Dear Friends & Family

Have you ever asked yourself:  What really died at Auschwitz?

    Here’s an interesting viewpoint.

The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodriguez and published in a Spanish newspaper.

It doesn’t take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the rest of Europe – and possibly to the rest of the world.

I walked down the streets in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible truth:  Europe died in Auschwitz …..

We killed six  million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims.  In Auschwitz we burned a group of people who represented culture, thought, creativity, talent.  We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people, who made great contributions to the world, and thus changed the world.

The contribution of today’s Jewish people is felt in all areas of life:  science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world.  Look at any donors’ board at any symphony, art museum, theater, art gallery, science center, etc.  You will see many Jewish surnames.  These are the people who were burned.  Of the 6,000,000 who died, how many would have grown up to be gifted musicians, doctors, artists, philanthropists?

And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the diseases of racism and bigotry, Europe opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime.  Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition.  We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

Recently, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it ‘offends’ the Muslim population, which claims it never occurred.  It is not removed as yet.  However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it.

It is now approximately seventy years after the Second World War in Europe ended.  This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, twenty million Russians, ten million Christians, and nineteen-hundred Catholic priests who were murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on, and humiliated.  Now, more than ever–with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be ‘a myth’–it is imperative to make sure the world “never forgets.”

This e-mail is intended to reach 400 million people.  Be a link in the memorial chain, and help distribute this around the world.

How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center ‘NEVER HAPPENED’ because it offends some Muslim in the United States?

Please do not just delete this message.  It will take only a minute to pass this along.  We must wake up the world before it’s too late

    @nicetomeetyou2:disqus

Hat tip Michoel Brooke (The Motivation Congregation).

When the Jewish People were redeemed, they had sank to the 49th level of impurity.
Had they sank to the 50th level, they couldn’t have been saved.

The Kotzker Rebbe ZTL asked what was the tremendous difference between the 49th level and the 50th? The 50th, was a level where they had complete yayush (despair) without any semblance of hope.

A person cannot proceed any further in life if they are completely hopeless.

My mother taught this to me when she got sick when I was 15.
She said it is forbidden for a Jew to have complete yayush.

With Hashem involved, the word impossible doesn’t exist.

    *************************

I heard Rabbi Elimelech Biderman speak last week. (I’m subscribed to a WhatsApp chat that has Divrei Torah from him.) I cannot recollect the source that he quoted, unfortunately.
He asked why did Hashem wait for us to sink so low? He then had to rush us out in a hurry?

It was to show that a person can sink very low, but can always pick himself up and rise to great heights.

(FYI, BH, because we have the Torah, the Jewish People can never again sink to such a low spiritual level again.)

    1. bill smith

The having ha tikvah is the key…. and reducing to minus 49 should produce a rebound to positive 49…. a higher level than the vast majority.

      1. Proud Conservative Mom

        Having hope is essential.
Without hope, it’s impossible to function.

In fact, I gave a real Mussar Shmuz to a doctor who was very knowledgeable. I thought the world of him.

When he gave me the diagnosis of global diffuse adenomyosis, he told me that there is nothing that could be done for it.

I very politely let him have it. I told him that he said that he’s a Modern Orthodox Jew (not the same as the wacko Modox of today). I told him that one cannot leave a patient with zero hope whatsoever. I asked him if he still believes in Hashem. Who said that I have to live the rest of my life in Hell on Earth?! With Hashem, nothing is impossible.

(I am very much my mother’s daughter. When she received her CML diagnosis in 1987 and had no bone marrow match, the doctor told her to put her affairs in order because in two and a half years she would be gone. She was so sick, but told the doctor: “How dare you tell me when I am going to die?! That is in G-d’s jurisdiction alone. If you don’t fight this illness with me, I will find a doctor who will.” My father was with her when she made that declaration.

My father always taught me as well, to always query medical professionals regarding all details of my protocol and the reasoning for it. Unfortunately, so many are not willing to ask questions or are afraid to do so.)

Regarding what you stated, a catapult of that velocity is not common. Sometimes it takes steps to get there and one has to be patient. Of course, that’s not an easy thing to do.

The Jewish People were gifted with a catapult of that magnitude at Har Sinai (Mt. Sinai) when they said that they would do and hear, before even knowing what the Mitzvos were.

Tragically, they fell tremendously after the sin of the Golden Calf.

Every person has the ability to catapult himself and become very great.

Sometimes in life we have to create a solution for a plan that hasn’t been working.
My father wore many hats. He was a scientist and relayed scenarios that happened to him where he had to go back to the drawing board.
I inadvertently forgot to mention that earlier.

        Life is a learning process.
As mortals, we will experience failure.
That’s okay (albeit it is frustrating).

One puts in their efforts and if they’re wise, 🦉 they’ll ask for Hashem’s assistance.

Realize that sometimes despite Herculean efforts put in, some things don’t work out.

My parents always instilled in us that as long as you gave it your all and tried your best, they would always be very proud of us.
And so it was, and still is.

The bottom line is, that not everything is meant to be.
That’s very painful at times to deal with, but that’s the reality.

        1. Proud Conservative Mom

The one we used to go to was in Santa Cruz of course. And we had a Toyota pick up truck, like the one Marty McFly wanted in Back To The Future. Except that our was beige, and didn’t had the roll bar with the KC lights.

We would pull in to the space in reverse and watch the movie from the bed of the truck. That was back when you could still legally ride in the back bed of a pickup truck around here. That was always fun. Especially at night. I miss those carefree days.

How is your Hebrew birthday chosen and how does it differ from the one based on the every day calendar?

      1. Chief Mac

Since the Hebrew calendar is a lunar calendar – a person’s birthdate is set when they are born and it stays on that lunar date regardless of what the Western calendar says. That is also why our holidays are not the same on the Western calendar year to year

          1. Chief Mac

On another occasion Dr Sizer posted a link on his website in September 2010 to an article titled “9/11 The Mother of All Coincidences”.”

Netanyahu meets with mother of Israeli hostage Avera Mengistu

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday met with the mother of Avera Mengistu – one of the two Israeli hostages being held in Gaza – for a “periodic update,” weeks after the Palestinian enclave’s governing Hamas group released a video of him.

Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed – who voluntarily crossed the border into Gaza between 2014 and 2015 – have been held by the Islamist extremist group ever since, as have the bodies of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin and Staff Sergeant Oron Shaul, who were killed during the 2014 war there.

Despite past reports of Hamas and Israel reaching an understanding on a prisoner exchange, one has not transpired.

Biden says US won’t provide F-16 jets to Ukraine

President Joe Biden said the US would not be providing Ukraine’s armed forces with the American-made F-16 fighter jets that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and members of his government have asked for.

Biden was addressing reporters upon his return to the White House when he was asked if the US would offer the single-engine multirole fighters to Kyiv.

    He replied: “No”.

Mr Zelensky’s government has repeatedly pressed Washington for the modern aircraft, which would be a significant upgrade from the Soviet-era MiG and Sukhoi fighters that Ukrainian Air Force pilots have used.

🇮🇱 Bill advances to revoke terrorists’ citizenship, residency

A bill to revoke the citizenship of terrorists receiving compensation from the Palestinian Authority (PA) passed in Israel’s parliament on its first reading today.

The Knesset, Israel’s legislature, voted in favor of the measure by 89-8, with many of Israel’s opposition supporting it. The bill will be subject to two more rounds of votes, deliberations and debates in the Knesset plenum and committees before it becomes law.

Israel’s interior minister will be able to revoke the citizenship or permanent residency status of terrorists, according to the wording of the bill, if they received a prison sentence and Palestinian Authority compensation. They will then be banished to the Gaza Strip or West Bank.

The consensus I am hearing on TS is saying otherwise.

MAGA patriots in FL are even telling other MAGA patriots to stop coming. I have noticed the same sentiment coming from other popular red states like Texas and Idaho.

I saw this a lot when I was considering Couer d’Alene.

Housing shot up, and the locals are upset about that, and also with how crowded the area is now getting. Even me telling them that I am not some psycho Cali libTARD didn’t make them change their tune any with regards to telling me “don’t come here.”

Having watched Cali change as much as I have, especially after the Dot Com CON boom and bust, and every reject from the Midwest and Bible Belt moved out here after being disowned by their families FOR BEING A BUNCH OD F**** LOSERS ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM, and just a complete waste of molecules, along with a bunch of Turd Worlders via H1B Visas, I can fully understand why they don’t even want us moving to their states.

    White inferiorists?

White supremist believe that Jews and certain others, are inferior…. so the might be allowed to live on their own, but not amongst them, because they don’t want to mingle with the inferior.
They are often classified as “far-right”. This might be the case in Europe, but I don’t think so here. The right here wants more personal freedoms, and are willing to pay for it with greater personal responsibility and they want less government, and therefore, lower taxes. White supremist are a breed all to their own. In general, the prefer the positions of the right over the left, but make no mistake, when the bigotry and antisemitism of the left is better understood, the white supremist will flip in a heartbeat.

    So what about the left?
The left believes that Jews control everything… Hollywood, the banks, the media, etc… And, that Israel is the second biggest bully in the world, only slightly behind the US. In essence, they believe that they are inferior to Jews. When fighting against a bully, one is at a disadvantage, so it make it’s permissibly to fight dirty, or excessively.

I think this is what explains the left. They are a collection of people who view themselves as victims, and this is why they fight obsessively, and often in a dirty manner. Arabs know this and use this… their entire battle plan is based on marketing a set of lies and myths to create the impression the Israel and Jews are bullies, and they are victims. There is no regard for truth of facts, only a requirement for the marketing to be believed.

Around the world, there is a campaign to put an exact definition on antisemitism (IHRA). All parties hostile towards Israel and Jews are vehemently against defining antisemitism, why?
If some antisemitic event takes place, one can compare it with the official definition, and say definitively that the action was antisemitic…. but without a definition, it depends on one’s opinion if it was antisemitic or not. Might seems not such a major thing, but it is. Being victimized beyond a shadow of a doubt strike right at the heart of the main battle tactic of the hostile parties.

In summary, the left fight obsessively and dirty…. although this is clear, they cannot see it themselves. It’s why they focus and play so much with words, technicalities, and go so far as to actually change definitions. This also explains why they advocate for so many harmful policies…. in their minds, if it hurts America, or Jews, or white people, for them, it’s good no matter what.

Simply by pointing this out instantly sparks a response of being a fascist or white supremist. Of course this is not the case, but the accusation generally puts an end to any debate.

Summary of the summary— Hostile parties, regardless of their colour or race, are indeed, white inferiorists.
This can also explain the left, socialist, communist fascination with antisemitism. In a typical leftist’s mindset, if white supremacy is bad, then white inferiority is good,
    simple as that.

    -Bill Smith

They see themselves as victims as you said, and they also see themselves as morally superior = therefore they think they are entitled to act however they want. “The Superior Virtue of The Oppressed” as Bertrand Russell put it.

Seems that Abbas thinks he has any leverage over Israel
    https://elderofziyon.blogspot.com/2023/01/0131-links-pt1-tale-of-two-massacres.html

Abbas presents Blinken with list of demands for Israeli concessions
Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas outlined a series of demands for Israeli concessions during a meeting on Tuesday with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Ramallah.

Abbas called on Washington to pressure Israel to forgo construction plans in Judea and Samaria, curb IDF counter-terrorism operations in Palestinian-controlled areas and cancel punitive measures imposed on the P.A. in response to its ongoing “political and legal war” against the Jewish state.

Israel’s Security Cabinet approved the measures earlier this month after the U.N. General Assembly, at the urging of the P.A., passed a resolution calling on the International Court of Justice to “render urgently an advisory opinion” on Israel’s “prolonged occupation, settlement and annexation of Palestinian territory.”

“We affirm that the Israeli government is responsible for what is happening today, because of its practices that undermine the two-state solution and violate the signed agreements, and because of the lack of international efforts to dismantle the occupation [and] end the settlement regime, and the failure to recognize the Palestinian state and its full membership in the United Nations,” said Abbas.

“The continued opposition to the efforts of the Palestinian people to defend their existence and their legitimate rights in international forums and courts, and to provide international protection for our people, is a policy that encourages the Israeli occupier to commit more crimes and violates international law,” he added.

Lakewood Resident Files Complaint, Seeks Attorney After Embarrassing Incident with TSA Agent

A Lakewood resident suffered an embarrassing incident while going through airport security, and he’s now seeking an attorney, the local resident told TLS.
While traveling with his family through Newark Airport this weekend, the resident says he was told to remove his belt before going through the metal detector, a standard procedure.
But while being patted down, the traveler says the TSA yanked on his pants, causing them to fall to his ankles, embarrassing him in front of his family and others.
The embarrassed traveler says he made a remark about it to the agent, to which he replied, “Don’t be so dramatic about it.”
The traveler says he already filed a complaint with the TSA, but he’s now seeking an attorney who will take on the case.

Unfortunately, some might be too demoralized to take action.

Absolutely, these kinds of people have a laugh over a beer with their buddies at our expense.

Jew hatred won’t end until Moshiach comes.

I just keep telling myself: “He who laughs last, laughs best.”

We’ll have the last laugh for all eternity.

May the long awaited moment be NOW.

        1. IsraelReader

I watched most of it, but this creep has me worried.
I hope that there are sane people out there who are keeping tabs on him and what he’s up to.

        2. Weary Traveler

I watched it. It is about how the grooming is covered up, and called a “conspiracy theory.”

      1. Proud Conservative Mom

I don’t know who that meshuganah is.
When I clicked on the video and saw the opening screen to the video, I decided to pass. 🫣🫣🫣🤐🤐🤐

        HASHEM YERACHEIM.

Galus is abject misery on every single front, with zero saving graces.

      1. Sapper 9

It is actually an interesting video, it highlights the grooming- “grooming conspiracy” divide.

    1. Weary Traveler

Just got the Adam Schiff bit where he nearly chokes up. This is shows why I could never be a politician. My response would probably get me expelled. Which is; “I sincerely hope to God that Adam Schiff stole his seat. Otherwise, it would speak very poorly of the people who live in his district.”

FBI search President Biden’s home in Delaware as part of investigation into classified documents, his lawyer says

We all knew that the FIB is an extension of the DemonRAT Party.
It’s been an evil racket for a very long time already.

What they got away with (thus far), continues to make my stomach churn and incenses me tremendously.

      1. Sapper 9

When I have time, I will look up articles on a hunter biden connection to China securing a 3.8 billion dollar deal for China to corner the rare earth mineral market, while his father created a 20 year moratorium on us rare earth mining.

The daily mail did a recent article on this, but, I want to dig into my old files , with the new classified document scandal, their appear to be connections.

In his first year Bidet has destroyed the US oil, gas and cobalt exploration, while forcing the nation into electric vehicles and his family PROFITS beyond belief.

    1. Tony

The problem with that is that it is not remotely funny. There are far too many people in real life that are just like that.

          1. Proud Conservative Mom

            Agreed.

Believe it or not, NY is even far worse.

NY and NJ has the highest amount of Orthodox Jews domiciled therein.

            It’s very frustrating.

We really all need to go back home to Israel.
I can leave with very short notice.and cannot wait to do so.

      1. Weary Traveler

Yeah, funny how they always say that WE are the ones that want to get women pregnant and barefoot. As if we have a problem with women wearing shoes. LOL

  47. Weary Traveler

I agree with a lot of things Jordan Peterson says, this is not one of them.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nyEpQ7ZRmY

If anything, western countries should be more focused on changing out their regimes. Case in point; Trudy in his nation of Canada. And Brandon here in the US.

And let’s not forget who installed that regime in Iran in the first place via color revolution, and who actually emboldened that regime with a so-called “Nuclear deal” that lifted the sanctions.

Ending/toppling these regimes, and without firing a single shot would be fairly easy, but it is something that politicians don’t want to do, because there is no money to be made/laundered.

A first good start is what Trump did, which was make the US energy independent. This harmed OPEC, which in turn cut off the money going to terrorist organizations. Notice the Palestinian attacks on Israel even slowed to a trickle when Trump was at the helm. Which didn’t even happen under other pro-Israel Republican presidents.

Another good step would be auditing and abolishing the federal reserve, and going back to sound money. That way, we can eliminate taxes and bring back manufacturing.

And last but not least, abolish the CIA.

I guarantee you that there would be far fewer wars, and more bad regimes would fall without our military having to get involved.

    1. Sapper 9

Biden wants us Dependent on OPEC for oil, China for rare earth metals and the DNCCP for the bread lines.

    1. Tony

If Donald pulls out, he’ll walk it.
I just looked up Kari Lake (I’m a foreigner, remember). She’s a strange one. Wikipedia hates her.

      1. Weary Traveler

If Wikipedia hates her, than that further confirms she’s one of the good guys. Err, gals.

          1. Sapper 9

TTP is totally volunteer work, no salary; her and her husband are real estate investors, they also purchase run down houses and rehab them.

She found an antique pistol in one of her recent purchases, she posed with it like Bonnie from the criminal couple Bonnie and Clyde, copying the pose. lol

          2. Proud Conservative Mom

Normally those who are in that line of business tend to do well.
I hope that is the case with them as well.

It’s wonderful that she volunteers so much of her time.

That is such a humourous anecdote.
            LOL!

        1. Tony

Look up her history on Wiki. It’s a laugh. Make it fast though or she might have changed her party again!

          1. Sapper 9

She has been a real fighter against the election fraud in Arizona; flipping from republican to independent or the other way around is no big deal; I have known a lot of great conservatives that were Democrats at one point or another, to include PRESIDENT Trump.

Wikipedia is the MSNBC of the internet “encyclopedia” sites, I do not know trust the accuracy of anything that they “publish”; however, If their information about her party affiliation is correct, see my above statement.

          2. Weary Traveler

            Ah, there you go. Wikipedia.

Even college professors will not allow you to cite Wikipedia as a source when writing a paper, which should tell you everything you need to know about it.

That was a rule that was made crystal clear when I was in college, and were assigned papers for midterms and finals.

          1. Sapper 9

Me too, if it was a troll I would have been all over it, but, I respect Tony’s viewpoint and was curious to hear it.

    https://www.opb.org/article/2022/10/08/in-idaho-america-s-first-and-only-cobalt-mine-in-decades-is-opening/

The only mine to open before Bidet’s moratorium, is owned by an Australian company, a company that owned mines in Africa that Bidet Jr got paid to work the deal for a Chinese company to purchase, for almost 2 billion dollars.

How much have the Bidets been paid by the Chinese?

Did they get classified US policy information, or influence for their money?

      1. bill smith

Actually they should never apologize for anything since their “apologies” are never sincere. Apologies from them simply means ‘whoopsies, you caught me’.

    1. Proud Conservative Mom

Hoo boy, that is one ugly hag! 🤯🤯🤯

“She apologised shortly afterwards, after being ordered to do so by party bosses.”

      Some apology.

She should take it and shove it somewhere the sun doesn’t shine.

          1. Weary Traveler

This is one of the reasons why I wish we all weren’t scattered so far apart. We could pop in, and visit. Take her out for a cup of coffee. I think we could all use some good talk therapy right about now.

          2. Weary Traveler

            Her too.

I wish I could invite her out to Panera with me and Marty, or just take her out for a little day ride.

          3. Proud Conservative Mom

            I’m really worried about her.
            She’s very isolated and alone.

As awful as Sarah’s situation is, she’s from a very warm and loving family.
Of course, I’m not minimizing the agony of what she’s experiencing at all, Heaven forbid.

          4. Weary Traveler

I know what you mean. It is much harder to go through things alone. I don’t care how strong a person is. Everyone has their limits, and dealing with battles alone will push you to those limits much faster.

I am so glad Sarah has the support she does.

          5. Tony

OK. I just wondered why you said she was alone. I do have her e-mail address but I very rarely use it.

          1. Weary Traveler

Yes, very rare exceptions indeed. And those exceptions are tragedies.

Those are the beautiful women age to become crazy cat ladies.

          2. Weary Traveler

Exactly. There are people, who do not vote for Marxists, but end up alone and single because of the Marxists.

        1. bill smith

The local variety here are skinny, grey hair, no make-up, and look as though they took too much acid in the 60s. As well, they all seem to have multiple pension and earn about double the average from the age of 55 onward, while not working (other than activisting). Of the men, similar but usually bald, grey hair, with a beard, unkept, disheveled, and wearing Walmart polyester pants, loafers, and plaid sports jacket with patches sewn over the elbows. Also has too much acid in the 60s…. oh, and hairy ears and backs.
Their kids seem to be liberal arts students who drive nice cars, wear fancy clothes, and hang out at Starbucks all day long… of course with piercings and tattoos.

          1. Proud Conservative Mom

Wouldn’t that describe the Liberal species globally?

I’ve seen the species myself in my tri-state area.
It’s precisely as you so very colorfully and accurately described.

It’s a darn pity and waste of our tax dollars that they receive such wonderful pensions.
They use their free time to be activists for the worst things.

(Free Palestine is always in vogue.)

          2. Weary Traveler

I like to ask those fools, “Free Palestine form who?” Any other answer than Hamas, you are dealing with a closeted Nazi.

          3. Proud Conservative Mom

You’re very spot on, as usual.

            I’ve asked that question before.
They’ll give me sob stories about the “oppressive” Jews who make the Palestinians miserable and grants them no rights.

Facts don’t matter to these scum.

I also responded with when has a Jew ever been a suicide bomber?

            I hear crickets…

          4. Weary Traveler

They ignore that none of the Palestinians are Israeli, and not of the countries they come from are all too eager to absorb them themselves. Like Jordan or Egypt.

          5. Weary Traveler

Right. So by al rights, shouldn’t Jordan absorb them, or carve off some of their own land to them? I don’t see them stepping up to the plate, or anyone asking them too.

They are just a blunt instrument to hit Israel with.

          6. Weary Traveler

LOLOLOLOLOL at that visual. The patches on the sleeves of the sports coat to make them look like professors no doubt. LOL

          7. bill smith

            Here’s a joke for you….
How many communists does it take to change a lightbulb?
            1001
            Why?
1 to hold the lightbulb, and the other 1000 to turn the house.

          8. Weary Traveler

Add another thousand to spend ten years conducting a “study”, at public expense of course, to figure out whether to turn the house clockwise, or counter-clockwise.

          9. Weary Traveler

That little bit was actually based on a real life anecdote when I called the county — not my current county of residence, but another county I lived in at the time — to complain about a dangerous accident prone intersection, and how it was overdue for a stoplight. They literally told me that they would have to do a study on the intersection, and that it could take up to ten years to conclude the study, and decide whether or not to approve the funds to put in the light.

Of course, I asked; “wouldn’t it just be cheaper to forego the study, and the ten years, and propose the light?” Of course, I got a non-answer about how that is just not how it works. And believe it or not, this wasn’t some blue Bay Area county, but a deep red county in the Sierra Nevada Foothills.

          10. bill smith

Oh, their males seem to be as overweight as their females are underweight. Note too… the only reason I know about the hairy ears and backs is because many of them also go to the pool when they are not activisting.

          11. Weary Traveler

            Oh, like the Lesbian Mermaids?

My friend, Carolyn, refers to the people you described as “The Soy Elite.” LOL

          12. bill smith

Matter of opinion. They usually have a lot of other people’s money….. but morally bankrupt.

          13. Weary Traveler

There’s a lot of them near me. Either inherited wealth in most cases, or leveraged up to their eyeballs.

          14. Weary Traveler
